Welcome to my website, and thank you for taking the time to visit it. My name is Emily Moore, Ph.D., and I have been in private practice as a counselor since 1981, and as a clinical psychologist since 1991. Prior to opening my practice, I worked in the juvenile justice system as a juvenile probation officer and, later, a family counselor from 1977 until 1985. I have been trained in a wide variety of disciplines and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, marriage and family therapy, Reality Therapy, and EMDR. I have received specific training in the areas of substance abuse, sexual trauma, domestic violence, ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. I am also a licensed school psychologist. In addition to psychotherapy services, I also offer psychological evaluations for adolescents and adults.
In addition to seeing individuals and couples, I work with adolescents and their families on issues of friendship conflicts and peer aggression. Since 2004, I have consulted with schools and community agencies, offering social empowerment programs for youth, parents, and school staff aimed at reducing school violence and social bullying.
